The Barbon Inn lies in the delightful village of Barbon, nestling in the Lune valley, deep between the LAKE DISTRICT and the YORKSHIRE DALES. Originally built in the 17th century as a coaching Inn, and recently tastefully refurbished retaining all the character you would expect to find in a building over 300 years old.
Eat:
Lunch: noon – 2 pm Dinner: 6 pm – 9 pm
The Oak Room Restaurant with 17th century oak settles and chairs, polished oak and mahogany tables, silver cutlery and condiments,
tall vases of lilies, and candles on each table. A log fire completes the ambiance. Our menus feature the excellent local produce on our doorstep.
Drink:
in the Coach Lamp Bar by an open log fire, locally brewed beers are a speciality or choose some wine from our personally selected wine list. Bar meals are also served by the fire from noon – 2 pm and 6 pm – 9 pm
Sleep:
in our luxury "Sealy" beds with crisp cotton sheets you won't want to get out of (well, not until the smell of freshly brewed coffee and grilled bacon wafts from the kitchen to tantalise). All ten rooms are en-suite with baths/showers and white fluffy towels.

Sisters Sandra and Joyce grew up in nearby Sedbergh, with a large extended family from Cumbria and Lancashire. In summer 2006 they took possession of the lovely Barbon inn and, with the help of their husbands John and Peter, are carefully retaining the charm and increasing the comforts.
