On offer are superb value for money  meals, light bites and a variety of specials prepared fresh on the day. 

Our menu is driven from local seasonal produce sustainably sourced from suppliers on our doorstep. 

Vegan, Coeliac and allergy diets can be catered for if prior notice is given.

We don't open on a Monday and Tuesday with the exception of bank holiday Mondays  during the Summer months.

You can choose to dine in the bar, or in the dining room or outside when the weather permits . 

The real fires in the bar, lounge and dining room completes the warm and inviting atmosphere during the cooler days. 

We recommend booking your table to ensure you can dine at your chosen time.

For our residents a full cooked breakfast is available from 0830 Monday - Friday and 0900 Saturday and Sunday.  However if you need to leave any earlier then please advise us and we can leave out a kettle, bread, toaster etc for you.

Dogs are more than welcome, if your dog is nervous or reactive then please let us know beforehand so we can reserve a safe area for you.

Drink

In the Coach Lamp Bar by an open log fire, locally brewed beers are a speciality, with guest Ales from a variety of local breweries. 

Our guest ale favourites are from Fell Brewery, Tirrill Brewery, Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery and Timothy Taylors. 

Fresh behind the bar, we have a delightful, aromatic and smooth award winning Vodka from Nine Tines, in North Yorkshire. Superb straight up or bringing its unique notes to the mixer of your choice.

We also have a variety of gins on offer including Gordons Lemon Meringue, Mediterranean Orange, Slingsby Rhubarb and Navy strength plus the firm favourites.

Coastline rum is another local favourite, brewed in Walney Island, with a banana and citrus nose and  and a flavour of warm spices and hit of caramel.

Wheelchair access is difficult but not impossible 

This is a somewhat ancient ancient building, with all the bedrooms and the ladies toilet being upstairs. The Gents toilet is downstairs and wheelchair accessible.
